Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. ततः स्थाणुवटं गच्छेत्त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतम् ।
तत्र स्नात्वा स्थितो रात्रिं रुद्रलोकमवाप्नुयात् ॥ १५५ ॥

tataḥ sthāṇuvaṭaṃ gacchettriṣu lokeṣu viśrutam |
tatra snātvā sthito rātriṃ rudralokamavāpnuyāt || 155 ||
