Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. क्व गमिष्यथ भद्रं वस्त्यक्त्वास्मान्दुःखभागिनः ।
वयमप्यनुयास्यामो यत्र यूयं गमिष्यथ ॥ १८ ॥

kva gamiṣyatha bhadraṃ vastyaktvāsmānduḥkhabhāginaḥ |
vayamapyanuyāsyāmo yatra yūyaṃ gamiṣyatha || 18 ||
