Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. केशवं केशिहन्तारमप्रमेयपराक्रमम् ।
पूज्यमानं मया यो वः कृष्णं न सहते नृपाः ॥ २ ॥

keśavaṃ keśihantāramaprameyaparākramam |
pūjyamānaṃ mayā yo vaḥ kṛṣṇaṃ na sahate nṛpāḥ || 2 ||
