Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. तैरेव सहितः सर्वैरनुरज्य च तान्नृपान् ।
कुलूतवासिनं राजन्बृहन्तमुपजग्मिवान् ॥ ४ ॥

taireva sahitaḥ sarvairanurajya ca tānnṛpān |
kulūtavāsinaṃ rājanbṛhantamupajagmivān || 4 ||
