Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. स्तम्भो हि मे सपत्नीत्वाद्वक्तुं कुन्तिसुतां प्रति ।
यदि तु त्वं प्रसन्नो मे स्वयमेनां प्रचोदय ॥ ६ ॥

stambho hi me sapatnītvādvaktuṃ kuntisutāṃ prati |
yadi tu tvaṃ prasanno me svayamenāṃ pracodaya || 6 ||
