Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. रमते भगवांस्तत्र कुबेरानुचरैः सह ।
विकृतैर्विकृताकारैः क्रीडद्भिः पृथिवीपते ।
श्रिया ज्वलन्दृश्यते वै बालादित्यसमद्युतिः ॥ ७ ॥
