Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. ततस्तेषां निषण्णानां धनदो वाक्यमब्रवीत् ।
भवच्छन्दं समाज्ञाय नृत्येरन्नप्सरोगणाः ॥ १७ ॥

tatasteṣāṃ niṣaṇṇānāṃ dhanado vākyamabravīt |
bhavacchandaṃ samājñāya nṛtyerannapsarogaṇāḥ || 17 ||
