Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. जिगीषमाणं तु गृहे तदा मृत्युः सुदर्शनम् ।
पृष्ठतोऽन्वगमद्राजन्रन्ध्रान्वेषी तदा सदा ॥ ४७ ॥

jigīṣamāṇaṃ tu gṛhe tadā mṛtyuḥ sudarśanam |
pṛṣṭhato'nvagamadrājanrandhrānveṣī tadā sadā || 47 ||
