Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. द्विजोत्तमैः सर्वगतैरभिष्टुतो विदीप्ततेजा गतमन्युरीश्वरः ।
प्रशान्तचेता मुदितः स्वमालयं त्रिविष्टपं प्राप्य मुमोद वासवः ॥ ११८ ॥

dvijottamaiḥ sarvagatairabhiṣṭuto vidīptatejā gatamanyurīśvaraḥ |
praśāntacetā muditaḥ svamālayaṃ triviṣṭapaṃ prāpya mumoda vāsavaḥ || 118 ||
