Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. एवमुक्तः फल्गुनस्तु कृष्णं वचनमब्रवीत् ।
धृतराष्ट्रसुताः सर्वे हता भीमेन मानद ।
यावेतावास्थितौ कृष्ण तावद्य न भविष्यतः ॥ १३ ॥
