The Lakshminarayana Samhita verse 2.53.23 (Sanskrit text), including grammatical analysis, glossary and relevant print editions. The work is written in Puranic style and divided into four books according to the four Yugas. This is verse 23 of chapter 53 of Khanda 2 (treta-yuga-santana). सर्वथा शरणं कार्यं शरण्याः सन्ति देवताः ।
विश्वासिनश्च जायन्ते तापसे शरणागते ॥ २३ ॥

sarvathā śaraṇaṃ kāryaṃ śaraṇyāḥ santi devatāḥ |
viśvāsinaśca jāyante tāpase śaraṇāgate || 23 ||
