This is Mantra 3.1 of the Kena-upanishad (Kenopanishad), the English translation and commentary of Madhva (Madhvacharya) called the Bhasya. The Kena Upanishad deals with topics such as Brahman and Atman (soul) and also discusses the symbolic representation of the Gods as forces of nature. It is an important text in the Vedanta schools of Hindu philsophy. This is Mantra 1 of section 3 called ‘Tritiya-Khanda’.

ब्रह्म ह देवेभ्यो विजिग्ये तस्य ह ब्रह्मणो विजये देवा अमहीयन्त ।
त ऐक्षन्तास्माकमेवायं विजयोऽस्माकमेवायं महिमेति ॥ १ ॥

brahma ha devebhyo vijigye tasya ha brahmaṇo vijaye devā amahīyanta |
ta aikṣantāsmākamevāyaṃ vijayo'smākamevāyaṃ mahimeti || 1 ||

brahmā—the Brahman, in His aspect as Inner Ruler; ha—once, certainly, verily; devebhyaḥ—for the Devas, (in order to help the Devas) that they may get power; vijigye—obtained victory, won the fight, over the Daityas and Dānavas; tasya—of Him, His, Brahman’s; ha—so, an exclamation of wonder; brahmanaḥ—of Brahman; vijaye—in the victory; devāḥ—the Devas (like Indra, Agni, Vāyu); amahīyanta—became elated, triumphant, were honored, became proud; te—they, (Devas) ignorant of the power of Brahman; aikṣanta—thought; asmākam—ours; eva—indeed, verily, only; ayam—this; vijayaḥ—victory; asmākam—ours; eva—only; ayam—this; mahimā—greatness (that we are worshipped with praises and pujā by all creatures); iti—[...].

1. Brahman (being immanent in the Devas) verily conquered (the Daityas) for the sake of the Devas. (But though) the victory was of Him, the Brahman lo! the Devas became puffed up. They considered—“This victory is ours only, ours only is this greatness.”—14.
