The Sanskrit edition of the Katyayana-smriti referencing the English translation and grammatical analysis. The Katyayana-smriti is one of the minor works on Dharmashastra as mentioned in the Yajnavalkya-smriti. लभेतांशं स पित्र्यं तु पितृव्यात्तस्य वा सुतात् ।
स एवांशस्तु सर्वेषा भ्रातॄणां न्यायतो भवेत् ।
लभेत तत्सुतो वापि निवृत्तिः परतो भवेत् ॥ १९ [८५६] ॥

labhetāṃśaṃ sa pitryaṃ tu pitṛvyāttasya vā sutāt |
sa evāṃśastu sarveṣā bhrātṝṇāṃ nyāyato bhavet |
