The Sanskrit edition of the Katyayana-smriti referencing the English translation and grammatical analysis. The Katyayana-smriti is one of the minor works on Dharmashastra as mentioned in the Yajnavalkya-smriti. साधयेत्तत्पुनः साध्यं व्याघाते साधनस्य हि ।
दत्तान्यपि यथोक्तानि राजा दिव्यानि वर्जयेत् ।
मूर्खैर्लुब्धैश्च दुष्टैश्च पुनर्देयानि तानि वै ॥ ५ [४३८] ॥

sādhayettatpunaḥ sādhyaṃ vyāghāte sādhanasya hi |
dattānyapi yathoktāni rājā divyāni varjayet |
