त्यक्त्वा तु मेखलाबन्धं ततश्चैव समारभेत् ।
कुण्डमानभेदेन मेखलानां मानभेदाः ।
प्रमाणं मेखलानां च यवद्वादशसम्मितम् ॥ 16 ॥

tyaktvā tu mekhalābandhaṃ tataścaiva samārabhet |
kuṇḍamānabhedena mekhalānāṃ mānabhedāḥ |
pramāṇaṃ mekhalānāṃ ca yavadvādaśasammitam || 16 ||
