Verse 4.40

श्रीभगवान् ।
ज्ञानस्य द्वैविध्यम् तयोः क्रियाख्येन सत्ताख्यस्य निष्पत्तिः ।
ज्ञानं तु द्विविधं विद्धि सत्ताख्यं च क्रियात्मकम् ।
सत्ताख्यस्य क्रियाख्येन अभ्यस्तेन मवेद्धृतिः ॥ 40 ॥

śrībhagavān |
jñānasya dvaividhyam tayoḥ kriyākhyena sattākhyasya niṣpattiḥ |
jñānaṃ tu dvividhaṃ viddhi sattākhyaṃ ca kriyātmakam |
sattākhyasya kriyākhyena abhyastena maveddhṛtiḥ || 40 ||
