स्तब्धस्य नश्यति यशो विषम् अस्य मैत्री नष्टेन्द्रियस्य कुलम् अर्थ-परस्य धर्मः ।
विद्या-फलं व्यसनिनः कृपणस्य सौख्यं राज्यं प्रमत्त-सचिवस्य नराधिपस्य ॥ १०८ ॥

stabdhasya naśyati yaśo viṣam asya maitrī naṣṭendriyasya kulam artha-parasya dharmaḥ |
vidyā-phalaṃ vyasaninaḥ kṛpaṇasya saukhyaṃ rājyaṃ pramatta-sacivasya narādhipasya || 108 ||
