The Sanskrit edition of the Harivamsa, an important addition to the larger epic Mahabharata, existing in several editions. The text deals with the ancient Indian Solar and Lunar dynasties leading and recounts the history of Krishna.

Verse 110.56

भज्यमानेष्वनीकेषु त्रातुकामः समभ्ययात् ।
एतस्मिन्नन्तरे राजन्नारदः प्रययौ रणात् ।
कैलासं मेरुसंकाशं दृष्टो रुद्रेण पूजितः ।
पृष्टः किमिह देवर्षे संप्राप्तस्तद्वदस्व मे ॥ ततः प्रहस्य देवर्षिः प्राह रुद्रं महीपते ।
नारदः बाणः संहन्यते देव कृष्णेन हलिना किल ।
तस्य सर्वमनीकं तु भग्नं तन्नावतिष्ठति ॥ किं वर्तसेऽद्य निश्चिन्तो भर्तस्ते पीड्यते किल ।
कुरुष्व तस्य साहाय्यं भक्ताधीनो भवानिति ॥ वैशंपायनः नारदस्य वचः श्रुत्वा हरः प्रस्फुरिताधरः ।
निश्वासं मुमुचे राजन्नस्तः कश्चिद्विनिर्गतः ॥ तं किं करोमीति हरं पृच्छन्तं प्राह भूतपः ।

प्रमथानाह रुद्रस्तु सज्जा भवत सत्तमाः ॥ सज्जैर्गच्छत मात्स्यार्द्धो मयूरोन्दरवाहनौ ।
गच्छ नारद तत्र त्वं बाणमाश्वासय प्रभो ॥ एष मामागतं पश्य त्वत्कृते दैत्यसत्तम ।
घातयामि यदुश्रेष्ठौ प्राप्तौ याविह मन्दधीः ॥ तथेति नारदः प्राप्तो बाणायावेदयत्तदा ।
पुनर्ययौ कृष्णपार्श्वं खेचरो वा गरुत्मनि ॥ कारयामास रुद्रस्तु प्रयानोद्योगमुत्तमम् ॥ ज्वरस्तु रणमागत्य ददर्श हलिनं रणे ।
घ्नन्तं दानवदैतेयांस्तं हन्तुं स समागतः ।
ज्वरस्त्रिपादस्त्रिशिरास्तदा समरदुर्जयः ॥ ५६ ॥

ಸಜ್ಜೈರ್ಗಚ್ಛತ ಮಾತ್ಸ್ಯಾರ್ದ್ಧೋ ಮಯೂರೋನ್ದರವಾಹನೌ ।
ಗಚ್ಛ ನಾರದ ತತ್ರ ತ್ವಂ ಬಾಣಮಾಶ್ವಾಸಯ ಪ್ರಭೋ ॥
ಏಷ ಮಾಮಾಗತಂ ಪಶ್ಯ ತ್ವತ್ಕೃತೇ ದೈತ್ಯಸತ್ತಮ ।
ಘಾತಯಾಮಿ ಯದುಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠೌ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತೌ ಯಾವಿಹ ಮನ್ದಧೀಃ ॥
ತಥೇತಿ ನಾರದಃ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತೋ ಬಾಣಾಯಾವೇದಯತ್ತದಾ ।
ಪುನರ್ಯಯೌ ಕೃಷ್ಣಪಾರ್ಶ್ವಂ ಖೇಚರೋ ವಾ ಗರುತ್ಮನಿ ॥
ಕಾರಯಾಮಾಸ ರುದ್ರಸ್ತು ಪ್ರಯಾನೋದ್ಯೋಗಮುತ್ತಮಮ್ ॥
ಜ್ವರಸ್ತು ರಣಮಾಗತ್ಯ ದದರ್ಶ ಹಲಿನಂ ರಣೇ ।
ಘ್ನನ್ತಂ ದಾನವದೈತೇಯಾಂಸ್ತಂ ಹನ್ತುಂ ಸ ಸಮಾಗತಃ ।
ಜ್ವರಸ್ತ್ರಿಪಾದಸ್ತ್ರಿಶಿರಾಸ್ತದಾ ಸಮರದುರ್ಜಯಃ ॥ ೫೬ ॥
