The Sanskrit edition of the Harivamsa, an important addition to the larger epic Mahabharata, existing in several editions. The text deals with the ancient Indian Solar and Lunar dynasties leading and recounts the history of Krishna.

Verse 108.11

इत्युक्त्वा त्वरमाणा सा गुह्यदेशे स्वलंकृता ।
कान्तेन सह संयुक्ता स्थिता वै भीतभीतवत् ।
ततश्चोद्वाहधर्मेण गान्धर्वेण समीयतुः ।
अन्योन्यं रेमतुस्तौ तु चक्रवाकौ यथा दिवा ॥ पतिना सानिरुद्धेन मुमुदे तु वराङ्गना ।
कान्तेन सह संयुक्ता दिव्यस्रगनुलेपना ।
एकदेशे गृहस्यास्य प्रच्छन्नो चैव भामिनी ।
करेणुर्द्विरदेनेव वरयामास संगता ॥ पपौ तस्य मुखं साध्वी समालिङ्ग्य यथाक्रमम् ।
नेत्रे चुचुम्ब सा देवी बाणस्य दुहिता यदुम् ॥ भूयो भूयः समाश्लिष्य यथेष्टं मदमोहिता ।
न तृप्तिमाययौ सा तु समालिङ्ग्य यदूत्तमम् ॥ वैशंपायनः तामस्या विद्यया युक्तः प्राद्युम्निरथ तत्क्षणात् ।
चिन्तयामास तं दृष्ट्वा गृहे स्त्रीजनमद्भुतम् ॥ कोऽयं विधिर्मम महान्न जाने त्वस्य कारणम् ।
स्वप्नोऽयं किं मया दृष्ट उताहो विभ्रमो मम ॥ जागर्म्यहं न मे स्वप्नो न च म विभ्रमो महान् ।
केयमग्रे स्थिता सुभ्रूर्लतेव च सुपुष्पिता ॥ उद्भ्रान्तहरिणापङ्गी भ्रूलताभङ्गभाषिणी ।
पीनस्तनोरुजघना ताम्रपादकराधरा ॥ नीलकुञ्चितकेशाढ्या मधुरस्मितभाषिणी ।
मम नेत्रपथाक्रान्ता चन्द्रलेखेव शारदी ।
किमिदं नात्र जानामि केनेदं प्रतिपादितम् ॥ दृष्ट्वास्य ववृधे कामस्तामुषां मदमोहिताम् ।
सा च तत्पुरतः साक्षात्पानं कर्तुं समुद्यता ॥ अथ तामिङ्गितैर्ज्ञात्वा श्रुत्वा चैव यथार्थतः ।
रमयामास रमणीं कामतस्तां मनोरमाम् ॥ सा चापि तं समासाद्य हर्षभीताकुलेक्षणा ।
कामतो रमयामास रोमाञ्चोद्गतकर्कशा ॥ लीलासंलापललितैर्ललना तं समाचरत् ।
करेणुरिव मातङ्गं वाशिता गिरिगह्वरे ।
अनिरुद्धं महाबाहुं निद्रापरवशं गतं ।
ततो निरुद्धः स्वप्ने तु स्वपुराच्चित्रलेखया ।
नीतो बाणपुरं सद्यः संगतश्चोषया सह ॥ दृष्ट्वैवं स्वप्नसंसर्गं उषया स्वस्य चाद्भुतम् ।
वचनेन विमोहिताम् ॥ स ततश्चित्रलेखां तामवेक्ष्योवाच यादवः ।
द्वारकानगराच्छीग्रमानीतश्चित्रलेखया ॥ बाणस्य नगरं प्राप्य संगतोऽस्म्युषया रहः ।
एवं स्वप्नो मया दृष्टो विचित्रोऽदृष्टपूर्वकः ॥ कोऽयं विधिर्ममायातः का त्वं कैषा च भामिनी ।
केयं पुरी गृहं कस्य तत्त्वमाख्यातुमर्हसि ॥ इति ब्रुवन्तं तं दृष्ट्वा चित्रलेखा वचोऽब्रवीत् ।
अपि ते कुशलं वीर सर्वत्र यदुनन्दन ।
रममाणानिरुद्धेन अविज्ञाता तु सा तदा ॥ ११ ॥

మమ నేత్రపథాక్రాన్తా చన్ద్రలేఖేవ శారదీ ।
కిమిదం నాత్ర జానామి కేనేదం ప్రతిపాదితమ్ ॥
దృష్ట్వాస్య వవృధే కామస్తాముషాం మదమోహితామ్ ।
సా చ తత్పురతః సాక్షాత్పానం కర్తుం సముద్యతా ॥
అథ తామిఙ్గితైర్జ్ఞాత్వా శ్రుత్వా చైవ యథార్థతః ।
రమయామాస రమణీం కామతస్తాం మనోరమామ్ ॥
సా చాపి తం సమాసాద్య హర్షభీతాకులేక్షణా ।
కామతో రమయామాస రోమాఞ్చోద్గతకర్కశా ॥
లీలాసంలాపలలితైర్లలనా తం సమాచరత్ ।
కరేణురివ మాతఙ్గం వాశితా గిరిగహ్వరే ।
అనిరుద్ధం మహాబాహుం నిద్రాపరవశం గతం ।
తతో నిరుద్ధః స్వప్నే తు స్వపురాచ్చిత్రలేఖయా ।
నీతో బాణపురం సద్యః సంగతశ్చోషయా సహ ॥
దృష్ట్వైవం స్వప్నసంసర్గం ఉషయా స్వస్య చాద్భుతమ్ ।
వచనేన విమోహితామ్ ॥
స తతశ్చిత్రలేఖాం తామవేక్ష్యోవాచ యాదవః ।
ద్వారకానగరాచ్ఛీగ్రమానీతశ్చిత్రలేఖయా ॥
బాణస్య నగరం ప్రాప్య సంగతోఽస్మ్యుషయా రహః ।
ఏవం స్వప్నో మయా దృష్టో విచిత్రోఽదృష్టపూర్వకః ॥
కోఽయం విధిర్మమాయాతః కా త్వం కైషా చ భామినీ ।
కేయం పురీ గృహం కస్య తత్త్వమాఖ్యాతుమర్హసి ॥
ఇతి బ్రువన్తం తం దృష్ట్వా చిత్రలేఖా వచోఽబ్రవీత్ ।
అపి తే కుశలం వీర సర్వత్ర యదునన్దన ।

ઇત્યુક્ત્વા ત્વરમાણા સા ગુહ્યદેશે સ્વલંકૃતા ।
કાન્તેન સહ સંયુક્તા સ્થિતા વૈ ભીતભીતવત્ ।
તતશ્ચોદ્વાહધર્મેણ ગાન્ધર્વેણ સમીયતુઃ ।
અન્યોન્યં રેમતુસ્તૌ તુ ચક્રવાકૌ યથા દિવા ॥
પતિના સાનિરુદ્ધેન મુમુદે તુ વરાઙ્ગના ।
કાન્તેન સહ સંયુક્તા દિવ્યસ્રગનુલેપના ।
એકદેશે ગૃહસ્યાસ્ય પ્રચ્છન્નો ચૈવ ભામિની ।
કરેણુર્દ્વિરદેનેવ વરયામાસ સંગતા ॥
પપૌ તસ્ય મુખં સાધ્વી સમાલિઙ્ગ્ય યથાક્રમમ્ ।
નેત્રે ચુચુમ્બ સા દેવી બાણસ્ય દુહિતા યદુમ્ ॥

ન તૃપ્તિમાયયૌ સા તુ સમાલિઙ્ગ્ય યદૂત્તમમ્ ॥
વૈશંપાયનઃ તામસ્યા વિદ્યયા યુક્તઃ પ્રાદ્યુમ્નિરથ તત્ક્ષણાત્ ।
ચિન્તયામાસ તં દૃષ્ટ્વા ગૃહે સ્ત્રીજનમદ્ભુતમ્ ॥
કોઽયં વિધિર્મમ મહાન્ન જાને ત્વસ્ય કારણમ્ ।
સ્વપ્નોઽયં કિં મયા દૃષ્ટ ઉતાહો વિભ્રમો મમ ॥
જાગર્મ્યહં ન મે સ્વપ્નો ન ચ મ વિભ્રમો મહાન્ ।
કેયમગ્રે સ્થિતા સુભ્રૂર્લતેવ ચ સુપુષ્પિતા ॥
ઉદ્ભ્રાન્તહરિણાપઙ્ગી ભ્રૂલતાભઙ્ગભાષિણી ।
પીનસ્તનોરુજઘના તામ્રપાદકરાધરા ॥
નીલકુઞ્ચિતકેશાઢ્યા મધુરસ્મિતભાષિણી ।
મમ નેત્રપથાક્રાન્તા ચન્દ્રલેખેવ શારદી ।

અથ તામિઙ્ગિતૈર્જ્ઞાત્વા શ્રુત્વા ચૈવ યથાર્થતઃ ।
રમયામાસ રમણીં કામતસ્તાં મનોરમામ્ ॥
સા ચાપિ તં સમાસાદ્ય હર્ષભીતાકુલેક્ષણા ।
કામતો રમયામાસ રોમાઞ્ચોદ્ગતકર્કશા ॥
લીલાસંલાપલલિતૈર્લલના તં સમાચરત્ ।
કરેણુરિવ માતઙ્ગં વાશિતા ગિરિગહ્વરે ।

ಜಾಗರ್ಮ್ಯಹಂ ನ ಮೇ ಸ್ವಪ್ನೋ ನ ಚ ಮ ವಿಭ್ರಮೋ ಮಹಾನ್ ।
ಕೇಯಮಗ್ರೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಾ ಸುಭ್ರೂರ್ಲತೇವ ಚ ಸುಪುಷ್ಪಿತಾ ॥
ಉದ್ಭ್ರಾನ್ತಹರಿಣಾಪಙ್ಗೀ ಭ್ರೂಲತಾಭಙ್ಗಭಾಷಿಣೀ ।
ಪೀನಸ್ತನೋರುಜಘನಾ ತಾಮ್ರಪಾದಕರಾಧರಾ ॥
ನೀಲಕುಞ್ಚಿತಕೇಶಾಢ್ಯಾ ಮಧುರಸ್ಮಿತಭಾಷಿಣೀ ।
ಮಮ ನೇತ್ರಪಥಾಕ್ರಾನ್ತಾ ಚನ್ದ್ರಲೇಖೇವ ಶಾರದೀ ।
ಕಿಮಿದಂ ನಾತ್ರ ಜಾನಾಮಿ ಕೇನೇದಂ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿತಮ್ ॥
ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾಸ್ಯ ವವೃಧೇ ಕಾಮಸ್ತಾಮುಷಾಂ ಮದಮೋಹಿತಾಮ್ ।
ಸಾ ಚ ತತ್ಪುರತಃ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಪಾನಂ ಕರ್ತುಂ ಸಮುದ್ಯತಾ ॥
ಅಥ ತಾಮಿಙ್ಗಿತೈರ್ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಚೈವ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತಃ ।
ರಮಯಾಮಾಸ ರಮಣೀಂ ಕಾಮತಸ್ತಾಂ ಮನೋರಮಾಮ್ ॥
ಸಾ ಚಾಪಿ ತಂ ಸಮಾಸಾದ್ಯ ಹರ್ಷಭೀತಾಕುಲೇಕ್ಷಣಾ ।
ಕಾಮತೋ ರಮಯಾಮಾಸ ರೋಮಾಞ್ಚೋದ್ಗತಕರ್ಕಶಾ ॥
