इदं मया ते कथितं नृपेन्द्र
सर्वार्थदं श्री-बलभद्र-खण्डम्
शृणोति यो धाम हरेह् स याति
विशोकम् आनन्दम् अखण्ड-रूपम्
idaṃ mayā te kathitaṃ nṛpendra
sarvārthadaṃ śrī-balabhadra-khaṇḍam
śṛṇoti yo dhāma hareh sa yāti
viśokam ānandam akhaṇḍa-rūpam
idam—this; mayā—by me; te—to you; kathitam—spoken; nṛpendra—O great king; sarvārthadam—giving all desires; śrī-balabhadra—of Lord Balarāma; khaṇḍam—the canto; śṛṇoti—hears; yah—one who; dhāma—to the abode; hareh—of Lord Kṛṣṇa; sa—he; yāti—goes; viśokam—without sufferings; ānandam—bliss; akhaṇḍa—unbroken; rūpam—form.
English translation of verse 8.13.144:
O great king, thus I have recited for you the Balarāma-khaṇḍa, which fulfills all desires. Anyone who hears it goes to Lord Kṛṣṇa transcendental abode, which is eternal, full of bliss, and free of any suffering.
