The Garga-samhita Verse 8.13.49, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. स्य्मन्तक-मणिर् मान्यो
गाण्डिवी कैरवेश्वरह्
कुम्भाण्ड-खण्डन-करह्
कूपकर्ण-प्रहार-कृत्

symantaka-maṇir mānyo
gāṇḍivī kairaveśvarah
kumbhāṇḍa-khaṇḍana-karah
kūpakarṇa-prahāra-kṛt

He is the owner of the Syamantaka jewel (symantaka-maṇi), glorious (mānya), the friend of Arjuna (gāṇḍivī), the king of the Kauravas (kauraveśvara), the killer of Kumbāṇḍha (kumbhāṇḍa-khaṇḍana-kara), and the killer of Kūpakarṇa (kūpakarṇa-prahāra-kṛt).
