अथ ध्यानम्
स्फुरद्-अमल-किरीटं किङ्किणी-कङ्कणार्हं
चलद्-अलक-कपोलं कुण्डल-श्री-मुखाब्जम्
तुहिन-गिरि-मनोज्ञं नील-मेघाम्बराढ्यं
हल-मुसल-विशालं काम-पालं समीडे
atha dhyānam
sphurad-amala-kirīṭaṃ kiṅkiṇī-kaṅkaṇārhaṃ
calad-alaka-kapolaṃ kuṇḍala-śrī-mukhābjam
tuhina-giri-manojñaṃ nīla-meghāmbarāḍhyaṃ
hala-musala-viśālaṃ kāma-pālaṃ samīḍe
atha—now; dhyānam—the meditation; sphurad-amala-kirīṭam—a splendid crown; kiṅkiṇī-kaṅkaṇārham—with bracelets and tinkling ornaments; calad-alaka-kapolam—with locks of hair moving on His cheeks; kuṇḍala-śrī-mukhābjam—His lotus face decorated with earrings; tuhina-giri-manojnam—charming like a mountain of ice and snow; nīla-meghāmbarāḍhyam—dressed in garmants like dark clouds; hala-musala-viśālam—holding a great plow and club; kāma-pālam—fulfilling desires; samīḍe—I praise.
English translation of verse 8.13.4b:
Meditation
I glorify Lord Balarāma, decorated with a glittering crown, bracelets, tinkling ornaments, moving locks of hair on His cheeks, splendid earrings on His handsome lotus face, and garments dark like monsoon clouds, holding a great club and plow, fulfilling all desires, and handsome like a mountain of ice and snow.
