The Garga-samhita Verse 8.10.18, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 8 of Chapter 10 (The Paddhati and Patala of Lord Balarama) of Canto 8 (balabhadra-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

चतुर्थ्यं तं द्वयं कृत्वा
स्वाहां पश्चाद् विधाय च
मन्त्र-राजम् इमं राजन्
ब्रह्मोक्तं षोडशाक्षारम्

caturthyaṃ taṃ dvayaṃ kṛtvā
svāhāṃ paścād vidhāya ca
mantra-rājam imaṃ rājan
brahmoktaṃ ṣoḍaśākṣāram

caturthyām—fourth; tam—that; dvayam—both; kṛtvā—doing; svāhām—Svāhā; paścātthen; vidhāya—placing; ca—and; mantra-rājam—king of mantras; imam—this; rājanO king; brahmoktam—spoken by Brahmā; ṣoḍaśākṣāram—sixteen syllables.

English translation of verse 8.10.18:

After speaking these two names, then recite the word svāhā. O king, this sixteen-syllable king of mantras was spoken by the demigod Brahmā.

Note: The mantra then is Oṃ klīṃ kālindī-bhedanāya saṅkarṣaṇāya svāhā.
