The Garga-samhita Verses 8.10.10-11, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. एवं ध्यान-परो नित्यं
प्रीत्य्-अर्थं हलिनह् प्रभोह्
त्रि-काल-सन्ध्या-कृच् छुद्धो
मौनी क्रोध-विवर्जितह्
अकामी गत-लोभश् च
निर्मोहह् सत्य-वाग् भवेत्
द्वि-वारं जल-पानार्थी
एक-भुक्तो जितेन्द्रियह्
evaṃ dhyāna-paro nityaṃ
prīty-arthaṃ halinah prabhoh
tri-kāla-sandhyā-kṛc chuddho
maunī krodha-vivarjitah
akāmī gata-lobhaś ca
nirmohah satya-vāg bhavet
dvi-vāraṃ jala-pānārthī
eka-bhukto jitendriyah
evam—thus; dhyāna-parah—rapt in meditation; nityam—always; prīty-artham—for the pleasure; halinah—of Lord Balarāma; prabhoh—the Supreme Personality of Godhead; tri-kāla-sandhyā—at sunrise, noon, and sunset; kṛt—doing; śuddhah—pure; maunī—silent; krodha-vivarjitah—free from anger; akāmī—free from lust; gata-lobhaś—free from greed; ca—and; nirmohah—free from ilussion; satya-vāg—speaking truthfully; bhavet—should be; dvi-vāram—twice; jala-pānārthī—drinking water; eka-bhuktah—eating once; jitendriyah—ccontrolling the senses.
English translation of verses 8.10.10-11:
Pure, silent, free from anger, lust, greed, and illusion, speaking truthfully, controlling the senses, drinking water twice in a day and eating only once, to please Lord Balarāma one should thus meditate on Him at sunrise, noon, and sunset.
