The Garga-samhita Verse 8.10.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 8 of Chapter 10 (The Paddhati and Patala of Lord Balarama) of Canto 8 (balabhadra-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

वार्य् उपस्पर्श्य रहसि
स्थितो भूत्वा कुशासने
हस्ताव् उत्सङ्ग आधाय
स्व-नासाग्र-निरीक्षणह्

vāry upasparśya rahasi
sthito bhūtvā kuśāsane
hastāv utsaṅga ādhāya
sva-nāsāgra-nirīkṣaṇah

vāry—water; upasparśya—touching; rahasi—in a secluded place; sthitah—staying; bhūtvā—becoming; kuśāsane—on a kuśa mat; hastāv—hands; utsaṅge—in his lap; ādhāyaplacing; sva-nāsāgra-nirīkṣaṇah—gazing at the tip of the nose.

English translation of verse 8.10.8:

In a secluded place one should touch water, sit on a kuśa-grass mat, place his hands on his lap, and gaze at the tip of his nose.
