The Garga-samhita Verse 8.10.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 8 of Chapter 10 (The Paddhati and Patala of Lord Balarama) of Canto 8 (balabhadra-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

सत्-सङ्गम् एत्याशु शिक्षेद्
भक्तिं वै श्री-हरेर् गुरोह्
स सिद्धह् कथितो जातं
यस्य वै प्रेम-लक्षणम्

sat-saṅgam etyāśu śikṣed
bhaktiṃ vai śrī-harer guroh
sa siddhah kathito jātaṃ
yasya vai prema-lakṣaṇam

sat-saṅgamassociation with devotees; etyaattaining; āśu—quickly; sīkṣet—should learn; bhaktim—devotion; vai—indeed; śrī-hareh—of Lord Kṛṣṇa; guroh—of the guru; sa—he; siddhah—perfect; kathitah—said; jātam—born; yasya—of whom; vai—indeed; prema-lakṣaṇam—characterized by love.

English translation of verse 8.10.6:

By associating with the devotees, one quickly learns the truth of devotion to Lord Kṛṣṇa and to one's guru. A person who learns this is said to have attained perfection. He has attained love for Lord Kṛṣṇa.
