इत्य् एवं याचितो बलभद्रो यमुनां ततो व्यमुञ्चत् पुनह्
करेणुभिह् करीव गोपीभिर् गोप-राड् जले विजगाह. पुनर् जलाद्
विनिर्गत्य तत-स्थाय बलभद्राय सहसा यमुना चोपायनं
नीलाम्बराणि हेम-रत्न-मय-भूषणानि दिव्यानि च ददौ ह वाव तानि गोपी-यूथाय
पृथक् पृथक् विभज्य स्वयं नीलाम्बरे वसित्वा
काञ्चनीं मालां नव-रत्न-मयीं धृत्वा महेन्द्रो वारणेन्द्र इव
बलभद्रो विरेजे.

English translation of verse 8.9.10:

Begged in this way, Lord Balarāma released the Yamunā. Then He enjoyed in the Yamunā's waters, as an elephant enjoys with its many wives. When He returned to the shore the Yamunā approached and gave Him gifts of many blue garments and many ornaments of gold and jewels. Lord Balarāma divided the gifts among the girls, giving some to each gopī. Then He dressed in one of the blue garments and decorated Himself with a necklace of gold and nine kinds of jewels.

Then He enjoyed with the gopīs as the king of elephants enjoys with its many wives.
