तथा वै चोत्तरे द्वारे
विश्वक्सेनो महा-बलः
रक्शत्य् अहर्-निशं राजञ्
छ्री-कृष्ण-हृदयो महान्
tathā vai cottare dvāre
viśvakseno mahā-balaḥ
rakśaty ahar-niśaṃ rājañ
chrī-kṛṣṇa-hṛdayo mahān
tathā—so; vai—indeed; ca—and; uttare—at the northern; dvāre—gate; viśvaksenaḥ—Viśvaksena; mahā-balaḥ—very powerful; rakśaty—protects; ahar- niśam—day and night; rājan—O king; śrī-kṛṣṇa-hṛdayaḥ—who keeps Lord Kṛṣṇa in his heart; mahān—the great soul.
English translation of verse 6.21.7:
Meditating on Lord Kṛṣṇa in his heart, powerful Viśvaksena guards the northern gate day and night.
