The Garga-samhita Verse 6.21.5, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 21 (In the Description of the Third Fort, the Glories of Pindaraka-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

तथा वै पश्चिमं द्वारं
जाम्बवान् ऋक्श-राद् बली
रक्शत्य् अहर्-निशं राजन्
भगवद्-भक्ति-सम्युतः

tathā vai paścimaṃ dvāraṃ
jāmbavān ṛkśa-rād balī
rakśaty ahar-niśaṃ rājan
bhagavad-bhakti-samyutaḥ

tathā—so; vai—indeed; paścimam—the western; dvāram—gate; jāmbavān Jambavān; ṛkśa-rāt—the king of the ṛkśas; balīpowerful; rakśaty—guards; ahar- niśam—day and night; rājanO king; bhagavad-bhakti-samyutaḥ—devoted to the Lord.

English translation of verse 6.21.5:

Filled with love for the Lord, powerful Jāmbavān, the king of the ṛkśas, guards the western gate day and night.
