तथा वै दक्शिणे द्वारे
सूर्य-कुण्डो ऽभिधीयते
यदा सत्राजितेनापि
पूजितो ऽभूत् स्यमन्तकः
tathā vai dakśiṇe dvāre
sūrya-kuṇḍo 'bhidhīyate
yadā satrājitenāpi
pūjito 'bhūt syamantakaḥ
tathā—so; vai—indeed; dakśiṇe—at the southern; dvāre—gate; sūrya-kuṇḍaḥ— Sūrya-kuṇḍa; abhidhīyate—is called; yadā—when; satrājitena—by satrājit; api— also; pūjitaḥ—worshiped; abhūt—was; syamantakaḥ—the Syamantaka.
English translation of verse 6.20.3:
At the southern gate is Sūrya-kuṇḍa, where Satrājit worshiped the Syamantaka jewel.
