Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:
स्यमन्तकं समहार्तुं
ऋक्श-राज-बिलं गते
पुत्रे च देवकी देवीं
पूजयाम् आस सत्-फलैः
syamantakaṃ samahārtuṃ
ṛkśa-rāja-bilaṃ gate
putre ca devakī devīṃ
pūjayām āsa sat-phalaiḥ
syamantakam—the Syamantaka jewel; samahārtum—to take; ṛkśa-rāja-bilam— to the cave of the king of the ṛkśas; gate—gone; putre—son; ca—and; devakī— Devakī; devīm—Goddess Durgā; pūjayām āsa—worshiped; sat-phalaiḥ—with the best of fruits.
English translation of verse 6.19.41:
In this place, when her son had gone to Jāmbavān's cave to recover the Syamantaka jewel, Devakī worshiped Goddess Durgā and offered her the best of fruits.
