The Garga-samhita Verse 6.19.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 19 (In the First Fortress of Dvaraka, the Glories of Lila-sarovara, Hari-mandira, Jnana-tirtha, Krishna-kunda, Balabhadra-sarah, Ganesha-tirtha, Dana-sthala, and Maya-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तत्र स्नात्वा हेम-दानं
यो ददाति नृपेश्वर
पुत्र-प्राप्तिर् भवेत् तस्य
वंशस् तस्य विवर्धते

tatra snātvā hema-dānaṃ
yo dadāti nṛpeśvara
putra-prāptir bhavet tasya
vaṃśas tasya vivardhate

tatra—there; snātvā—bathing; hema-dānama gift of gold; yaḥ—one who; dadāti—gives; nṛpeśvara—O king of kings; putra-prāptiḥ—attainment of a son; bhavet—is; tasya—of him; vaṃśaḥ—dynasty; tasya—of him; vivardhate—increases.

English translation of verse 6.19.23:

O great king, a person who bathes there and gives gold in charity to the brāhmaṇas attains a good son and his dynasty expands.
