माधव्यस् तु लताः क्वात्र
पुष्प-भार-नताः पराः
क्व पक्षिणः प्रेम-परा
गायन्ति मधुर-स्वनम्
mādhavyas tu latāḥ kvātra
puṣpa-bhāra-natāḥ parāḥ
kva pakṣiṇaḥ prema-parā
gāyanti madhura-svanam
mādhavyaḥ—Mādhavī; tu—indeed; latāḥ—vines; kva—where?; atra—here; puṣpa-bhāra-natāḥ—bowed down with many flowers; parāḥ—great; kva—where?; pakṣiṇaḥ—birds; prema-parā—filled with love; gāyanti—sing; madhura-svana—with sweet voices.

In this place where are the mādhavī vines bowing with many flowers? Where are the birds lovingly singing with sweet voices?
