तेन निद्रा नयनयोर्
न जातस्य महा-मते
तस्मान् ममापि प्रस्वापो
न जातो भीष्म-कन्यके
tena nidrā nayanayor
na jātasya mahā-mate
tasmān mamāpi prasvāpo
na jāto bhīṣma-kanyake
tena—because of that; nidrā—sleep; nayanayoḥ—of the eyes; na—not; jātasya—come; mahā-mate—O noble-hearted one; tasmān—therefore; mama—of me; api—also; prasvāpaḥ—sleep; na—not; jātaḥ—come; bhīṣma-kanyake—O daughter of King Bhīṣmaka.
English translation of verse 6.17.27:
For that reason, O noble-hearted girl, sleep has not come to Her eyes. O daughter of King Bhīṣmaka, because She cannot sleep, I cannot sleep.
