स मारितो मद्-वचनाच्
छङ्खचूडस् तया हरे
मत्-प्रेम्णापि त्वया देव
वैभवं दर्शितं व्रजे
sa mārito mad-vacanāc
chaṅkhacūḍas tayā hare
mat-premṇāpi tvayā deva
vaibhavaṃ darśitaṃ vraje
sa—he; māritaḥ—killed; mad-vacanāt—by My words; śaṅkhacūḍaḥ—Śaṅkhacūḍa; tvayā—by You; hare—O Kṛṣṇa; mat—for Me; premṇā—with love; api—also; tvayā——by You; deva—O Lord; vaibhavam—power; darśitam—shown; vraje—in Vraja.
English translation of verse 6.17.8:
"O Kṛṣṇa, on My request You killed Śaṅkhacūḍa. O Lord, out of love for Me You revealed Your power and glory in Vraja.
