किं नु राधा रूपवती
नाहं रूपवती किम् उ
बहुभिर् याचिता पूर्वं
रूपौदार्य-गुणार्चिता
kiṃ nu rādhā rūpavatī
nāhaṃ rūpavatī kim u
bahubhir yācitā pūrvaṃ
rūpaudārya-guṇārcitā
kim—why?; nu—indeed; rādhā—Rādhā; rūpavatī—beautiful; na—not; aham—I; rūpavatī—beautiful; kim—whether?; u—indeed; bahubhiḥ—by many; yācitā—begged; pūrvam—before; rūpa—beauty; audārya—and greatness; guṇa—virtues; arcitā—worshiped.
English translation of verse 6.16.17:
Why is Rādhā so beautiful? Am I not beautiful? Beauty and virtue worship me.
Many begged for my hand.
