गोपी-चन्दन-लिप्ताङ्गो
नरो नारायणो भवेत्
एतस्य दर्शनात् सद्यो
ब्रह्म-हत्या प्रमुच्यते
gopī-candana-liptāṅgo
naro nārāyaṇo bhavet
etasya darśanāt sadyo
brahma-hatyā pramucyate
gopī-candana-liptāṅgaḥ—his body marked with gopī-vandrana; naraḥ—a person; nārāyaṇaḥ—like Lord Nārāyaṇa; bhavet—becames; etasya—of him; darśanāt—by the sight; sadyaḥ—at once; brahma-hatyā—the sin of killing a brāhmaṇa; pramucyate—is released.
English translation of verse 6.15.42:
A person who wears gopī-candana tilaka attains a spiritual form like that of Lord Nārāyaṇa. Simply by seeing him one becomes free of the sin of killing a brāhmaṇa.
