सभायाम् आगतं व्यासं
सम्पूज्य विधिवन् नृप
नत्वा पप्रच्छ धर्मात्मा
धर्म-राजो महा-मतिः
sabhāyām āgataṃ vyāsaṃ
sampūjya vidhivan nṛpa
natvā papraccha dharmātmā
dharma-rājo mahā-matiḥ
sabhāyām—to the assembly; āgatam—come; vyāsam—Vyāsa; sampūjya—worshiping; vidhivan—properly; nṛpa—O king; natvā—bowing; papraccha—asked; dharmātmā—saintly; dharma-rājaḥ—Yamarāja; mahā-matiḥ—noble-hearted.
English translation of verse 6.15.36:
Then Vyāsadeva arrived in that assembly. Bowing down before Him, and carefully worshiping Him, saintly and noble-hearted Yamarāja asked Vyāsadeva the following question.
