एकदा राज्य-लोभेन
मन्त्री क्रुद्धो महा-खलम्
जघानारण्य-देशे तं
तीक्ष्न-धारेण चासिना
ekadā rājya-lobhena
mantrī kruddho mahā-khalam
jaghānāraṇya-deśe taṃ
tīkṣna-dhāreṇa cāsinā
ekadā—one day; rājya—for a kingdom; lobhena—with greed; mantrī—minister; kruddhaḥ—angry; mahā-khalam—wicked; jaghāna—killed; āraṇya-deśe—in the forest; tam—him; tīkṣna-dhāreṇa—with a sharp; ca—and; asinā—sword.
English translation of verse 6.15.26:
One day, greedy to get his kingdom, with a sharp sword his angry minister killed him in the forest.
