तेन वै भारते वर्षे
ब्रह्म-हत्या-शतं कृतम्
दश गर्भवती-हत्याः
कृतास् तेन दुरात्मना
tena vai bhārate varṣe
brahma-hatyā-śataṃ kṛtam
daśa garbhavatī-hatyāḥ
kṛtās tena durātmanā
tena—by him; vai—indeed; bhārate varṣe—in Bharat-varṣa; brahma-hatyā- śatam—killing a hundred brāhmaṇas; kṛtam—done; daśa—ten; garbhavatī-hatyāḥ—killing pregnant women; kṛtāḥ—done; tena—by him; durātmanā—wicked.
English translation of verse 6.15.24:
While he was on the earth this cruel sinner murdered a hundred brāhmaṇas and ten pregnant women.
