The Garga-samhita Verse 6.15.10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 15 (The Glories of Nriga-kupa and Gopi-bhumi) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

अज्ञानाद् ब्राह्मणस्यापि
गां ददौ ब्राह्मणाय सः
तेन पापेन कूपे वै
कृकलास-वपुर्-धरः

ajñānād brāhmaṇasyāpi
gāṃ dadau brāhmaṇāya saḥ
tena pāpena kūpe vai
kṛkalāsa-vapur-dharaḥ

ajñānāt—from ignorance; brāhmaṇasya—of a brāhmaṇa; api—also; gām—a cow; dadau—gave; brāhmaṇāya—to a brāhmaṇa; saḥ—he; tena—by that; pāpena—sin; kūpe—in a well; vai—indeed; kṛkalāsaof a lizard; vapuḥ—the form; dharaḥ—manifesting.

English translation of verse 6.15.10:

Unaware of what he was doing, King Nṛga gave in charity to a brāhmaṇa a cow that belonged to another brāhmaṇa. For this sin he became a lizard in a well.
