The Garga-samhita Verse 6.14.22, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 14 (The Glories of Ratnakara, Raivata, and Kacala) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

पुत्र-स्नेहाभिभूतो ऽहं
युवयोः शरणं गतः
जित्वा तं रैवतं शीघ्रं
पुत्रं मां दातुम् अर्हथ

putra-snehābhibhūto 'haṃ
yuvayoḥ śaraṇaṃ gataḥ
jitvā taṃ raivataṃ śīghraṃ
putraṃ māṃ dātum arhatha

putrafor the son; snehaby love; abhibhūtaḥovercome; aham—I; yuvayoḥ— of you both; śaraṇam—shelter; gataḥ—gone; jitvā—having defeated; tam—him; raivatam—Raivata; śīghram—at once; putram—son; mām—me; dātum—to give; arhatha—are worthy.

English translation of verse 6.14.22:

"I am overcome with love for my son. I take shelter of you both. Please defeat King Raivata and give me my son."
