The Garga-samhita Verse 6.14.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 14 (The Glories of Ratnakara, Raivata, and Kacala) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

तं द्रश्टुम् आगतः साक्शाद्
अपान्तरतमो मुनिः
नोच्चचालासनात् सो ऽपि
मेधावी तपसोत्कटः

taṃ draśṭum āgataḥ sākśād
apāntaratamo muniḥ
noccacālāsanāt so 'pi
medhāvī tapasotkaṭaḥ

tam—him; draśṭum—to see; āgataḥcame; sākśāt—directly; apāntaratamo muniḥApāntaratama Muni; na—not; uccacāla—rose; āsanāt—from the seat; so 'pi—he; medhāvīMedhāvī; tapasā—on austerities; utkaṭaḥ—intent.

English translation of verse 6.14.8:

One day Apāntaratama Muni came to see him. Rapt in performing austerities, Medhāvī did not rise from his seat to greet him.
