सरोवरे निपतितः
कक्शिवान् छण्ख-रूप-धृक्
प्रवदन् कृष्ण कृश्ण्ष्ति
शत-वर्शं स्थितो ऽभवत्
sarovare nipatitaḥ
kakśivān chaṇkha-rūpa-dhṛk
pravadan kṛṣṇa kṛśṇṣti
śata-varśaṃ sthito 'bhavat
sarovare—into the lake; nipatitaḥ—fell; kakśivān—Kaksivan; chaṇkha-rūpa- dhṛk—in the form of a conch; pravadan—saying; kṛṣṇa—Kṛṣṇa; kṛṣṇa—Kṛṣṇa; iti—thus; śata-varśam—for a hundred years; sthitaḥ—situated; abhavat—was.
English translation of verse 6.10.8:
Kakśivān, now in the form of a conch, fell into the lake. For a hundred years he stayed there, all the time chanting "Kṛṣṇa! Kṛṣṇa!"
