The Garga-samhita Verse 6.10.11, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 10 (In the Description of the Gomati River, the Glories of Cakra-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

चिरं समवगाह्याप्सु
शुण्डा-दण्डैर् इतस् ततः
करेण कलभान् सर्वान्
स्नापयाम् आस नाग-राट्

ciraṃ samavagāhyāpsu
śuṇḍā-daṇḍair itas tataḥ
kareṇa kalabhān sarvān
snāpayām āsa nāga-rāṭ

ciram—for along time; samavagāhya—immersed; āpsu—in the water; śuṇḍā- daṇḍaiḥ—with many trunks; itaḥ—here; tataḥ—and there; kareṇa—with a trunk; kalabhān—children; sarvān—all; snāpayām āsa—bathed; nāga-rāṭ—the regal elephant.

English translation of verse 6.10.11:

O king of Videha, bathing his children with water from his trunk, the regal elephant stayed in the water for a long time.
