The Garga-samhita Verse 6.10.4, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्य् उक्तौ हरिणा तौ द्वौ
राज-राजस्य मन्त्रिणौ
बभूवतुर् ग्राह-गजौ
जाति-स्मरण-सम्युतौ
śrī-nārada uvāca
ity uktau hariṇā tau dvau
rāja-rājasya mantriṇau
babhūvatur grāha-gajau
jāti-smaraṇa-samyutau
śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ity—thus; uktau—addressed; hariṇā—by Lord Kṛṣṇa; tau—they; dvau—both; rāja-rājasya—of King Kuvera; mantriṇau—the ministers; babhūvatuḥ—became; grāha—a crocodile; gajau—and an elephant; jāti- smaraṇa-samyutau—remembering their previous birth.
English translation of verse 6.10.4:
Śrī Nārada said: After Lord Viṣṇu had spoken these words, Kuvera's two ministers became a crocodile and an elephant. Nevertheless, in their new station they could remember who they had been before.
