स्थलीव सर्व-ब्रह्माण्डं
चचाल निमिश-द्वयम्
प्रणतं धनदं वीक्श्य
ताभ्यां शापं ददौ मुनिः
sthalīva sarva-brahmāṇḍaṃ
cacāla nimiśa-dvayam
praṇataṃ dhanadaṃ vīkśya
tābhyāṃ śāpaṃ dadau muniḥ
sthalī—a place; iva—as if; sarva-brahmāṇḍam—the entire universe; cacāla— went; nimiśa-dvayam—for two brief moments; praṇatam—bowing down; dhanadam—Kuvera; vīkśya—seeing; tābhyām—to them; śāpam—a curse; dadau— gave; muniḥ—the sage.
English translation of verse 6.10.38:
For the time of two eyeblinks the entire universe shook. Seeing Kuvera humbly bowing down before him, Durvāsā Muni proceeded to curse the two ministers.
