The Garga-samhita Verse 6.10.21, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 10 (In the Description of the Gomati River, the Glories of Cakra-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

रक्शायां वीरभद्रो ऽभूत्
सेवायां च गजाननः
तथा मरुद्-गणाः सर्वे
परिवेशण-कारिणः

rakśāyāṃ vīrabhadro 'bhūt
sevāyāṃ ca gajānanaḥ
tathā marud-gaṇāḥ sarve
pariveśaṇa-kāriṇaḥ

rakśāyām—in protection; vīrabhadraḥVīrabhadra; abhūt—was there; sevāyām—in service; ca—and; gajānanaḥ—Gaṇeśa; tathā—so; marud-gaṇāḥ—the Maruts; sarve—all; pariveśaṇa-kāriṇaḥ—serving meals.

English translation of verse 6.10.21:

Vīrabhadra was there as a guard. Gaṇeśa was there to render service. All the Maruts were there to serve meals.
