The Garga-samhita Verse 6.10.17, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 10 (In the Description of the Gomati River, the Glories of Cakra-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

अलकेशो राज-राजो
निधीशो धर्म-भृत् प्रभुः
वैश्णषं यज्ञम् आरेभे
कैलासोत्तर-भूमिशु

alakeśo rāja-rājo
nidhīśo dharma-bhṛt prabhuḥ
vaiśṇaṣaṃ yajñam ārebhe
kailāsottara-bhūmiśu

alakeśaḥ—Alakeśa; rāja-rājaḥking of kings; nidhīśaḥ—rich; dharma-bhṛt pious; prabhuḥmaster; vaiśṇaṣam—for Lord Viṣṇu; yajñam—a yajna; ārebhe— began; kailāsottara-bhūmiśu—on top of Mount Kailāsa.

English translation of verse 6.10.17:

There once was a great, pious, and wealthy king named Alakeśa, who performed a Viṣṇu-yajña on the summit of Mount Kailāsa.
