The Garga-samhita Verse 6.10.9, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 10 (In the Description of the Gomati River, the Glories of Cakra-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

स्नान-काले गोमतीति
वदत्य् अपि नरः क्वचित्
गोमत्यां स्नान-जं पुण्यम्
लभते वै न संशयः

snāna-kāle gomatīti
vadaty api naraḥ kvacit
gomatyāṃ snāna-jaṃ puṇyam
labhate vai na saṃśayaḥ

snāna-kāleat the time of bathing; gomatīGomatī; iti—thus; vadaty—says; api—even; naraḥa person; kvacit—somehow; gomatyām—in the Gomatī; snāna- jam—from bathing; puṇyam—the piety; labhate—attains; vai—indeed; na—no; saṃśayaḥ—doubt.

English translation of verse 6.10.9:

A person who, as he bathes, says the word "Gomatī" attains the pious result of bathing in the Gomatī. Of this there is no doubt.
