स्नान-काले गोमतीति
वदत्य् अपि नरः क्वचित्
गोमत्यां स्नान-जं पुण्यम्
लभते वै न संशयः
snāna-kāle gomatīti
vadaty api naraḥ kvacit
gomatyāṃ snāna-jaṃ puṇyam
labhate vai na saṃśayaḥ
snāna-kāle—at the time of bathing; gomatī—Gomatī; iti—thus; vadaty—says; api—even; naraḥ—a person; kvacit—somehow; gomatyām—in the Gomatī; snāna- jam—from bathing; puṇyam—the piety; labhate—attains; vai—indeed; na—no; saṃśayaḥ—doubt.
English translation of verse 6.10.9:
A person who, as he bathes, says the word "Gomatī" attains the pious result of bathing in the Gomatī. Of this there is no doubt.
